Thank you Kelly! I'm glad you enjoyed the pics. He was such a sweet, intelligent little boy. I agree — it's a great childhood moment.

The first one is way better. What a fantastic slice of life, pun intended HA HAAA! That light makes it wonderful and you should have told your editor you lost your flash. I do it all the time...

I agree with the editor that for the newspaper the second picture is what was needed.

But the first pitcure, to me, is the better of the 2. It jumps out at you.
