Obama's Auntie Zeituni here illegally, will she vote Obama?

By Kyle Prast
Saturday, Nov 1 2008, 03:49 PM

Another interesting turn on the road of politics. We just learned that Sen. Barack Obama's Aunt Zeituni lived in a Boston tenement.

Now we learn she isn't an American citizen: Obama has aunt living in US illegally:

Barack Obama's aunt, a Kenyan woman who has been living in public housing in Boston, is in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago, The Associated Press has learned.

Of course the first thing that comes to my mind is, was she planning on voting for him? She did send him a campaign contribution of $260*. Pretty rich for a woman living in less than stellar circumstances.

"Aunt Zeituni is now also living in Boston, and recently made a $260 campaign contribution to her nephew's presidential bid from a work address in the city."

Obama isn't responsible for his aunt's citizenship. It is pretty clear he doesn't have much to do with her.

His campaign should be responsible for checking if contributions are valid. but then, Obama isn't troubled with illegals getting drivers licenses or Social Security either.

*Foreign citizens who have a green card are allowed to contribute, foreign nationals are not

Fairly Conservative reports: Auntie's contribution will be returned.

All I want for Christmas is a border fence--act now

By Kyle Prast
Wednesday, Dec 19 2007, 12:02 PM

(This is just a quick post--I am in the midst of cookie baking.)

Remember when our legislators passed the Border Fence bill and we were all so relieved the US was finally going to do something about the open border?

Well, now they are gutting $3 billion from funding the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill to build the fence.

I have also heard that the appropriations bill for misc. spending now before our congress has language in it to build not a real fence, but a virtual fence. (That way, we can watch the illegals crossing the border on closed circuit TV--that is if it is working.)

That Omnibus Bill also includes Million$ for legal representation for the illegals and removes the suggestion that English be our official language in the workplace.

NumbersUSA has an online petition to sign by Dec. 21 to urge our Congress to put the $3 billion back.

Contact our Senators Kohl and Feingold and Congressman Sensenbrenner 262-784-1111 or 800-242-1119 too.

It is so disheartening to call our legislators time after time on these issues, seemingly prevail, and then find out that they are either gutting the funding or introducing yet another measure to carry out their agenda. But call and contact we must; it is our only weapon. As much as we do not like to do it, calling and contacting does seem to get results. (True on the local level too.)

Better to SAVE than to be LOST

By Kyle Prast

The SAVE Act and LOST Treaty are perfect examples of how it does not matter which party affiliation promotes the policy, what matters is the policy!

The SAVE Act,  Secure America with Verification and Enforcement, "Requires every employer to use electronic verification system on every employee", says NumbersUSA. That sounds good to me. The irony of this bill is that it is being introduced by a Democrat, Heath Shuler.

I am not sure if the Democrats finally got the message that Americans do not support amnesty for illegals when their DREAM Act failed to pass the Senate last week, but this bill is a step in the right direction.

Some Republican Congressmen are supporting it too; Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado is a co-sponsor. Maybe they sense this is an important issue to most Americans and we are 1 year away from election time! (I just heard Friday that Congressman Sensenbrenner introduced another bill on illegal immigration. I don't know at this time how that one compares.)

The NumbersUSA email alert I received made an excellent point that I had not thought of. When companies use illegals, they are forcing other companies who hire legal workers out of business. This is because the illegal hire company can pay their workers less. It is rather like outsourcing jobs without leaving the country! Would Democrats approve of companies forming strategies to allow employers to circumvent their newly pushed for and passed minimum wage laws? No, but the majority of the party see nothing wrong with helping illegals stay here and work.

Contact Congressman Sensenbrenner and urge him to support SAVE

Now about the LOST Treaty , short for the Law Of the Sea Treaty. It should stand for Loss of Our Sovereignty Treaty!

This is the most serious sovereignty issue since THE UN RIGHTS OF THE CHILD Treaty back in President Clinton's day. But this LOST Treaty is being promoted by Republican President Bush. Words cannot express my disgust.

Our Fonding Fathers will roll over in their graves with this one. Why we would be willingly giving up our rights to National sovereignty is beyond me. It is truly Taxation Without Representation, plus a whole lot more!

LOST deals with under sea mining and exploration, a World Court power to settle disputes, pollutants and more.

Glen Beck states, "This is really about socialism; the systematic redistribution of wealth; and usurping of your rights as a citizen of this country. One of the original creators of this treaty was a public supporter of one-world government; a woman who saw LOST as a trial balloon for developing a, quote 'common global constitution.' "

The LOST Treaty made it out of committee in the Senate, the first step to passage.

If you wish to keep Americas sovereignty, I urge you to contact our two senators about LOST.
