Not Just a Library

The Loan Period for Music Cd's at Brown Deer Public Library will be changing on August 1st from 3 weeks to 7 days. This change is being made to allow greater access to popular CD's for more people. You can now renew items twice, which would give you up to three weeks usage if desired under the new loan period. The circulation limit per person will remain at 20 music CD's.

On Tuesday, July 29th at 7:00 PM  at the Brown Deer Public Library 'Catch the Reading Bug" will be continuing.  "Good Morning Grumpus Caterpillar" is the title of this summers'  play with Alan and Mary Atwood, They will be entertaining us with a theatrical production of their own making. In their play they will tell us the story of two caterpillars: one wants to be a TV star and the other wants to fulfill her distiny and become a butterfly. Next Tuesday, July 15th at 7:00 PM come to the Brown Deer Public Library to enjoy Able the Dancing Chihuahua. Able has been performing for and enchanting audiences since 1999. His performance includes freestyle dancing with his partner and world renowned dog behavior expert Amy Ammen. Able favors up-tempo tunes and a flamboyant costume which complement his spinning, jumping, and weaving movements. Amy and Able will then share tips on how to be safe around dogs and how to avoid being frightened or bitten.
