From the Village Square

Shorewood regained.

Shorewood rediscovered. (I didn't know it was lost).

EXCITING LOOK ushers in Shorewood's NEW ERA.   (What new look? Which era? Whose doing the   ushering?)

The Village Master Plan is CHARGING forward. (How can a plan charge forward. Is it a horse? Is it alive?)

The Village we value is becoming an even better place to live. (I've noticed that, it's been a bit warmer this month.)

Shorewood Master Plan: Evolution of excellence. (A plan is an evolution of excellence? There goes that term again, “excellence.” Does a plan evolve on its own? Is it like a baby growing up? And what is “excellence”?)

Your environment is in for a change for the better. (Thank God for that, I thought the Sun was going to broil us to death.)

Discover your NEW WORLD of Shorewood. (What trite, I thought Discovery World was on the lake.)

Ecologically sensitive enhancements to our parks, riverfront and lake front. (Oh, my God! I'm certainly living in a rediscovered world and charging forward toward excellence and in some form of ecological evolution. Who writes this stuff and how much were they paid for it?

Is it the Sunrise development that is the sensitive enhancement to our river front?   By the way, the sun sets on that side as well as on the people intended to live there.  What's the good news on that?  Are our elected and non-elected officials giving us any “good news” or are we really living in a virtual reality?  Does using what appear to be correct words mean that we are accomplishing what those words mean?  What are we selling?)
